Wooden knitting needles reimagined as works of art. Picture yourself in a remote village, watching artisans still practice their craft as their ancestors did generations before.  These hand painted knitting needles are each uniquely crafted from premium birch wood (superior to bamboo, I might add, and I've wielded enough needles to know).

**A note about availability: These artisan needles are increasingly rare treasures. Complete sets are so difficult to compile, I've pretty much given up on assembling them; and when each size is available, they vanish faster than cake at a knitting circle. Sizes of each single needle appear in our collection sporadically - but each one is a chance to own a piece of vanishing craftwork.**

Available: Individual needles (sizes vary) Sets: Extremely limited

Hand-painted with whimsical designs, each needle bears the mark of its creator – a symphony of folk art meeting functionality. The smooth birch grain whispers through your fingers as you work, transforming ordinary yarn into extraordinary creations.

Our discriminating customers (experienced knitters who know their circulars from their DPNs) report-"They make me smile every time," says Margaret from Maine, who's completed three Norwegian sweaters with hers. The US sizes are clearly marked on the decorative balls atop each needle – practical beauty at its finest.

You can't choose the specific design (that's part of the adventure, isn't it?), but I guarantee each one will be a conversation piece at your next knitting circle.
