Imagine wrapping yourself in the cozy warmth of Kimball Coal Dust, a stunning handmade bulky merino yarn inspired by the rich coal mining history of Kimball, West Virginia.

This unique colorway beautifully embodies the effect of mysterious coal dust—a rich, nearly black blue with delicate hints of blue, green, and red that shimmer softly, reminiscent of the gentle glow of miners' lanterns as they make their way home after a long shift in an Appalachian mine. Each skein is a reminder of resilience and strength, honoring the unyielding spirit of coal miners, their wives, and families who faced incredible hardships with courage and determination to keep this country warm through harsh winters for many years. Their sacrifices and steadfastness flow through every strand, offering a timeless, soulful elegance that's perfect for creating luxurious, eye-catching pieces any time of year. Add Kimball Coal Dust to your collection today, and let each stitch carry a piece of history and the enduring spirit of these mountain people.

I cannot say how much I enjoyed working with this wool. I’ve knit a beanie and am working up a matching cowl. There is a beautiful spring to the handling of the wool, the colors are just stunning!!! You've done it again with this beauty!
