1. Try a new stitch pattern each time you knit a new project. This will build confidence.
2. Experiment with different yarns and fibers. You might not like bamboo as much as you thought.
3. Take time to block and finish your projects properly. Your finished items will look professional.
4. Join a local knitting group or online community for tips and advice. It's incredible how much you can learn by listening.
5. Make a swatch before you start your project to practice the stitch and check your gauge. You may think it's a waste of time, but having a finished project that doesn't fit is horrible.
6. Try out a new knitting technique or skill. You might find it easier than you thought.
7. Take a break and knit something fun and easy when you need a break from a more challenging project. Having multiple projects at one time is a real thing!
8. Learn how to read knitting patterns and charts. There are some excellent tutorials online.
9. Invest in quality tools and materials. You'll be surprised how much nicer it is to knit with different materials (find your favorite - wood, bamboo, acrylic, aluminum)
10. Take photos of your finished projects to share with friends and family. You know they'll be impressed!
