I feature custom hand dyed knitting yarn as well as yarn that is hand spun in my 1899 home here in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I also carry the classic yarn, Peace Fleece. It is perfect for the cold winter areas that need the warmest sweaters, mittens and hand made items at a practical price. It is NOT a wimpy yarn, it is rugged and gets nicer the more you wash & wear it. I LOVE it for vests and sweaters.♥
I spin and ply all my yarn on a Louet DT, which makes premium yarn. All pieces are created by hand, so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of hand spun yarn!
My hand knit items are knit with attention to detail and have a classic tone. I love simplicity as well as having clothes that go from one "trend" to the next without looking dated. I strive to make sure all ends are secured and use yarns will last for many years of practical use.

**Payment and delivery of digital patterns
Instant digital download is available only after payment is clear.
E-checks processed through PayPal can take up to 5 days to clear, and your download will not be available until the e-check has cleared.

**Cancellations of digital downloads
I do not accept cancellations on orders where payment is made "instantly". In other words, payment made with credit card, or with another form of instant PayPal payment (through a linked bank account, or with your PayPal balance for example) since the download will also be available instantly, I cannot cancel the order.
You may cancel the order BEFORE the payment clears if using an e-check if you have not already received a download link.
-Any orders weighing 16 oz. or more will be sent priority and all items will be sent in as lightweight but durable method possible. Orders shipped that weigh less than 16 oz. will be sent first class. Shipping will be done by the USPS for U.S. buyers.
**Delivery confirmation is included on ALL US orders.
-International orders will be shipped First Class International. International customers are responsible for all fees associated with shipping to their respective countries. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. All international orders will have full value declared on customs form in accordance to U.S. and international government regulations, I cannot mark purchases as gifts and must declare the actual value. Falsifying customs forms is illegal and can result in your package being confiscated, fines levied and/or other penalties. - no exceptions.
In an effort to be environmentally responsible, we use as few packaging and shipping materials as possible. Most often polymailer or tyvek bags are used for up to 6 items items and boxes for larger orders. Everything is placed in a clear plastic bag to protect against moisture and dust during transport. I normally do not include a paper receipt in our domestic orders, if you would like to be sure you get one, please request one.
-If your PayPal address and Etsy address are not the same, I will convo you to ask which I should mail to. Please respond within 24 hrs. I cannot mail your order if I am unsure of the address! :-)
-My shipping prices reflect the cost of my time to process your order, ink, labels, envelopes, tape, postage and packaging. Please know that if you see the cost of shipping on an item to be $0.00 it is just that, FREE. I personally like free shipping!
-All orders delivered in the U.S. will be delivered via USPS, or the best means possible.

I will accept returns within 10 days (14 on international) on all my men’s & women’s accessories as well as unused yarn. Please convo me before sending an item back and let me know the item is being returned and reason for the return. If there is an issue I need to take care of I need to know. :-) I use delivery confirmation on all my orders and the 10 day period begins from the day the item is recorded as being delivered to your door.
Returned items must be shipped at buyers expense. ** Buyer also must have a delivery confirmation number on any returned packages to track any packages.** The item(s) must be returned in a suitable envelope/box that will ensure safe return. I cannot refund your purchase if it is determined that you used inferior shipping materials. Many times you can use the same envelope you received the item in (re-taped) and just put a new address label on it.
If you don't contact me to initiate the return so I receive it within 10 days, then the item purchased is yours. In the unlikely event of a return, I will refund your full purchase price, less the shipping once I receive the item.
Any hand dyed, hand spun yarn is one of a kind. If it was not what you were expecting, or you are unhappy with it, please convo me and we will discuss returning the item if it is in the SAME CONDITION it was when I sent it to you. I will either refund or exchange, whatever we work out in convo's.
Knitting needles. They are one of a kind items, and may not be replaceable. I may be able to offer a similar substitute in some cases if your needles were damaged in shipping. Again, communication is the key. :-)

-I photograph each item I am selling. I do my best to show the color of each item as accurately as possible and then describe the item in length as well. As colors on different monitors vary I cannot guarantee that the color you see is exactly as it is.

I love wool fiber the way it comes off the sheep. None of the yarn I carry has been treated with chemicals to make it machine washable.
I recommend that you hand wash your wool project with gentle shampoo in cool water. If using a gentle soap manufactured specifically for washing wool (not Woolite), you do not have to rinse. If you use a regular detergent, rinse it thoroughly and gently press out extra water and roll it lightly in a terry towel to absorb more of the moisture. Lay your project out to the correct measurements and let it dry naturally. If you want to speed up drying, aim a fan at the drying surface.
If you'd like to try machine washing your wool and wool-blend garments (not recommended), use cool water and a gentle cycle. After spinning, lay your garment flat to dry. And never, never put your knitted wool garment in the dryer
International customers may be subject to import fees, taxes and duties according to your country’s import policies. These policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for any specific information.
We are not responsible for international customs fees, taxes, import duties or any fees associated with collecting these charges. We are legally obligated to report all international purchases as “merchandise” with exact retail value as paid by the customer. This information and value is clearly noted on the required form that serves as the USPS shipping label and US export customs form. We legally cannot mark retail merchandise as “gifts” nor declare a value lower than paid for by the customer.
All orders include tracking free of charge and the number will be included in your notification once the shipping label is printed. Tracking can have fits of updating and then nothing is given for days. This unfortunately, is all in the hands of the USPS.
If your order is international, once a package has left the U.S. it is in the hands of your country's national postal service. There is no extra way I can access tracking information from this point until the package arrives at its final destination.
